Signing of the Vietnam Peace Accord Event
Friday, January 27th
, 1:00 pm at the Veterans Memorial Museum on Hwy 76. All are invited to participate.  The Branson Veterans Task Force will hold a candlelight ceremony to honor the day in 1973 when America's longest and most controversial war came to an end. Army Band to Celebrate Anniversary: The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" will celebrate its 90th Anniversary with a 2 hour concert Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at The Music Center at Strathmore, North Bethesda, MD. Hand in Hand –Branson Honors Purple Hear Recipients Registration is 8 a.m. – noon April 26 at Factory Merchants Branson on Pat Nash Drive. Opening Ceremonies will at Hamner Barber Theatre 3090 Shepherd of the Hills Expwy Branson, MO    2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. FREE. April 27 Entertainment Show:  9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. FREE Hamner Barber Theatre 3090 Shepherd of the Hills Expwy Branson, MO Entertainers from the shows and the area perform.  This is amazing and FREE. Fishing Tournament Noon Where: Scotty’s Dock & Marina 500 S Boxcar Willie Dr Branson (if your name is drawn to fish). Fish Fry:  6:00 p.m. Where: TBD Free for Purple Heart Recipients & $10 for spouses, significant others and the general public.  Fish, hush puppies, coleslaw, beans, coffee, all you can eat & a live variety band. We have a blast dancing & singing along. April 28 Titanic - Time to be determined. It is the 100 year Anniversary of the Titanic and they have graciously invited all Purple Heart Recipients to board the ship for free.  There will be an admissions charge for spouses, significant others, family etc.  This is one of my favorite attractions in Branson and I am so excited that you will have the opportunity to be apart of their celebration.  You will be able to register on line for this as well, so we have a head count. Motorcycle Run Our very own Sheriff, Jimmie Russell coordinates a motorcycle run and it is a huge success.  This year our riders will be going further and when details are firm, we will have it on site you will know where to meet and time, etc. Closing Ceremony: 2:30 p.m. Where: Hamner Barber Theatre 3090 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Branson. Veteran’s Day in Medora, ND A day dedicated in Medora to the Veterans of our country.  All veterans and their families are invited to enjoy Historic Medora as we honor their service to our country.  All veterans receive a free Medora Musial ticket and ticket for the Veterans Country Western Concert.  For more information and reservations call 1-800-633-6721. National Day of Atomic Remembrance The 66th anniversary of the first atomic explosion and all veterans who were exposed to radiation in the line of military duty will be recognized during the National Atomic Veterans Day of Remembrance at 11:30 a.m. There will be a light lunch. 22nd Annual Branson Motorcycle Toy Run  November 4th

at 1:00 pm sponsored by the VFW Post 5168 of Forsyth. Please no stuffed animals. Toys and coats are needed. Donations will benefit Taney County families.  Meeting at Parsleys Country Jubilee, 2920 West Hwy. 76, Branson.  Departs at 1:00 pm. The parade of motorcycles going to the VFW Post 5168 of Forsyth will be led by Santa.  Dinner and music will be provided compliments of the VFW. For more information call 417-334-0775

National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day A special ceremony will commemorate “the day that will live in infamy” beginning at noon in front of the water and fire show area at Branson Landing.  The ceremony is to honor those who were lost at Pearl Harbor and will end with a wreath-laying ceremony in Lake Taneycomo.
